Google Workspace Enterprise

Google Workspace Enterprise, for organisations that have outgrown Business.

No 300-seat cap, serious storage, data-loss prevention and compliance tooling. What Enterprise Standard and Plus include, what they cost in Australia, and when the upgrade is genuinely worth it.

Plans & pricing

The Enterprise tiers

Indicative Australian pricing per user per month including GST, current as at July 2026 - annual commitment first, Flexible in brackets. Enterprise pricing is ultimately quote-based; volume discounts apply at scale.

Enterprise Standard — $41.69 ($49.94)

5 TB per user (expandable), DLP for Gmail and Drive, context-aware access and enterprise endpoint management, with no user cap.

Enterprise Plus — $53.90 ($64.68)

The full stack: Vault, client-side encryption options, security centre with investigation tools, 1,000-participant Meet and the strongest compliance posture Google sells.

Enterprise Essentials — Quote

For organisations standardised on another email platform that still want Drive, Meet and Docs at enterprise grade - priced on request.

What Enterprise adds over Business Plus

  • No 300-user ceiling - licence 301 or 30,000 seats
  • Data-loss prevention (DLP) rules across Gmail and Drive - stop TFNs, credit cards or client files leaving the tenant
  • Context-aware access - allow or block access based on device health, location and risk, not just passwords
  • Security investigation tool and security centre dashboards for your (or our) SOC workflows
  • Client-side encryption and data-region controls on Enterprise Plus for regulated data
  • Meet at 500-1,000 participants with live streaming

When the upgrade is worth it - and when it is not

The honest advice: seat count aside, most organisations upgrade for DLP, context-aware access or Vault-at-scale, driven by a compliance framework (ISO 27001, Essential Eight uplift, financial services or health obligations) or an insurer asking pointed questions. If none of those apply and you are under 300 users, Business Plus is usually the better-value stop.

Enterprise licensing is sold on quote, and list prices move with volume, term and Google promotions - the figures above are indicative Australian pricing as at July 2026. For 50+ seat organisations we can usually improve on list through partner pricing.

Google Workspace Enterprise FAQs

Do we have to move to Enterprise at 300 users?

Yes - 300 is a hard cap on the Business family. The move is a licence transition rather than a migration; your data, domains and settings stay put. We plan it before you hit the ceiling so procurement never blocks onboarding.

Is Gemini AI included?

Yes - Google folded Gemini's business AI capabilities into Workspace plans, with the most capable models and AI security features on the Enterprise tiers.

Can we mix Enterprise and cheaper licences?

Within one tenant, most organisations run a single edition. Frontline worker licences exist for field staff who need email and Meet without the full stack - that's frequently the right cost lever, and we model it in the quote.

How does Enterprise pricing actually work?

List pricing exists (shown above) but real Enterprise deals are quoted - term length, seat volume and promotional credits all move the number. We negotiate through partner channels and pass the sharper price through.
